Most eye doctors are required to complete 30 hours of continuing education every two years. I’ve already completed over 95 hours in the last year and a half — and I'm not done yet.
Why? Because I believe your care should go far beyond the minimum.
Eye care isn’t what it used to be. In the last five years, the field has transformed dramatically. Dry eye management, for example, is no longer just artificial tears and humidifiers. We now have tools like IPL, radiofrequency, Prokera, and meibomian gland imaging to target the actual root causes of discomfort. And I believe you deserve access to those options.
The more I learn, the more I realize how many people are living with symptoms they think they just have to put up with: burning, watering, redness, blurry vision, eyelid bumps, light sensitivity, and more. That’s not okay with me.
This spring, I attended an intensive surgical training program. I completed hands-on labs and credentialing in:
SLT (selective laser trabeculoplasty) for glaucoma
YAG capsulotomy for post-cataract blur
Laser peripheral iridotomy (LPI)
Chalazion incision and drainage
Benign eyelid lesion removal
These are procedures that many patients currently wait weeks or even months to access through referral. I want you to have the option of expert care, right here, without the delay.
I also invested heavily in advanced training through the Dry Eye Institute — diving deep into in-office procedures and the latest approaches to managing inflammation, meibomian gland dysfunction, and lid margin disease. If it improves outcomes, I want it in our toolkit.
It means that when you walk into Diplopia, you're walking into a clinic that is actively evolving to bring you better care. You’re not getting yesterday’s protocols. You’re getting a team that trains like it matters — because it does.
It means we don’t just offer glasses or eyedrops. We offer targeted treatments, new solutions, and a personalized plan that makes sense for your symptoms, your lifestyle, and your goals.
And it means you don’t have to drive hours or wait months for procedures that could give you immediate relief. No long drives to Madison. No six-week referrals. Just expert care, right here in Richland Center.
This isn’t about chasing credentials. It’s about chasing clarity — in vision, in comfort, in confidence.
My goal is to create a space where advanced care meets a spa-like atmosphere. Where patients feel seen, and symptoms are taken seriously.
And if that means tripling the education requirements? I’m happy to go even further.
You deserve more than the minimum. We’re building a practice that proves it
